Counselor, Clinical Supervisor & Consultant

Clara Bossie, MS, LMFT-QS, ACS, is a licensed marriage and family counselor, clinical supervisor, consultant, and founder of Wisely Wellness, LLC. With nearly two decades of professional experience, Clara brings warmth, creativity, and expertise into her counseling practice, thoughtfully supporting individuals, couples, and families across all ages and stages of life. She specializes in providing skilled, compassionate care to neurodivergent clients, particularly those navigating ASD, OCD, and ADHD.

Clara’s extensive background in special education and advanced training in clinical mental health and marriage family counseling allows her to offer meaningful, individualized support. Her preferred approaches include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), and experiential family systems.

Clara empowers clients to build practical skills, emotional resilience, and stronger relationships, making growth both attainable and inspiring. Clara’s research centers on counselor supervision, self-compassion, and innovative curriculum development. She is an award-winning counselor educator recognized for her academic excellence and commitment to community service, earning awards such as FAU Counselor Education Graduate Student of the Year (2022), the Dr. Rosanna Gatens Outstanding Community Service Award (2023), and the Chi Sigma Iota Outstanding Practitioner Award (2024/25).

  • Supervising counseling trainees & para-clinical staff; developing & coordinating training programs
  • Providing executive coaching & consulting, leveraging leadership experience in private practice, clinical settings, program development, education, & non-profit management

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Extensive training in & application of DBT therapy & skill groups across the lifespan including Multifamily group
  • Adapting DBT group curriculum for special populations, (i.e. ASD & varied learning abilities)
  • Leading DBT programs, consultation teams, & providing mentor-ship

Family Therapy

  • Treating complex family systems navigating trauma, childhood diagnosis & unique developmental challenges, multi-generational addiction, & personality features
  • Utilizing diverse approaches influenced by systems theory, symbolic-experiential methods, structural family systems, & the work of Virginia Satir

Trauma-Informed Care

  • Specialization in trauma care (i.e. developmental trauma, medical trauma, grief/loss, bullying, traumatic abuse, & complex trauma)
  • Using protocols like EMDR, prolonged exposure for PTSD, EFT, expressive art, & sensory integration
